After the official weigh-ins held at the Amphitheater at Pacific Islands Club, 18 fearless competitors will head to the cage tomorrow night for what is expected to be an exciting PXC 36 event at the UOG Field House.
The event will feature Underworld Extreme’s Trevin Jones going up against Spike 22’s Kyle Aguon in a long-awaited rematch. After three action-filled rounds of their first meeting in PXC 23, Jones took the win via unanimous decision. Now, almost two years later, the two talented competitors will meet again in the cage to go head-to-head in the main event of the night. In addition, the crowd could not ask for a more evenly matched match-up. Both competitors possess powerful punches and are willing to go straightforward with their stand up games, but both have also won their last two matches via submission, showing that they can be deadly on the ground as well.
Another highlight of the event will be the first ever PXC professional female bout featuring 21-year old Kailin Curran of Hawaii making her professional debut against 39-year old Kaiyana Rain of California.
“My thoughts are always the same, it’s nothing new to me,” stated Rain on her much younger opponent. “We’re pretty evenly matched. She comes to fight and I come to fight. But I’m focused and ready to go and I am honored to be a part of PXC.”
Despite the age difference, both fighters came to the scales looking fit and ready for combat.
“I’m pretty excited, but I take it just like any other fight,” stated a focused Curran. “She is 39, I’m pretty sure her body is well-matured. But abs can’t punch so I’m not intimidated,” she added.
