Guam’s best young ladies of softball are getting ready to venture off in the 2015 Little League World Series in Delaware behind head coach Jessilyn Balajadia. The team leaves on July 31st with a 14-women squad and some of the best high school talent from the 2015 season.

The Filipino Sports Association of Guam (FSAG) hosted a group of former stars from the Philippine Basketball Association Saturday night in a PBA Legends vs. FSAG All-Stars Friendship Game at the Phoenix Center. In front of a packed crowd of over 1200 fans, the FSAG All-Stars came from behind to beat the Legends 96-93 in overtime.

The Xterra Island Series successfully hosted the SUP Fest Paddleboarding Competition and Beach Party Saturday at the Matapang Beach in Tumon. The event attracted the competitive and leisure Paddleboarders in the inaugural event which featured strictly stand-up paddleboard races.

The 11th annual Spearfishing competition didn’t quite bring in as many competitors (13 teams) as it’s usual reel, but the two-man teams still brought in a worthy catch during Saturday’s all-dat event. The deep sea hunters turned in their catch at 2 pm at the Agana Boat Basin with a handful of great sized fish.
