The Guam Volleyball Federation is kicking off a four-division league on February 25th, stretching from February to May. The four divisions include coed recreational, coed competitive, men and women’s league all going down at the FD Jungle.
GVF is aiming to court at least two games a week in each division with a bulk of teams gearing up for the competitive coed division. The deadline for the coed competitive teams is on February 17th.
“We’re aiming for the long term and we want to keep volleyball being played year round. We’ve had meetings with a lot of clubs and teams and everyone’s excited,” stated GVF’s Gerson Hoebing.
GVF also plans to set up a permanent residence at the Dededo Sports Complex which will only help with the leagues functionality.
“Securing the Sports Complex would mean that clubs and teams wouldn’t have to find a place to host normal tournaments and it would really help us in out long-term goals,” added Hoebing.
The league is open for more participants and you can contact GVF members Lucy Calvo or Hoebing.
