PRESS RELEASE – The Pacific Islands Club Guam hosted three Guam runners at the Fujiyoshida Fire Festival Road Race on August 26, 2012. Kristina Ingvarsson, Gerald Asuncion, and Charles Epperson earned a free trip and entry to the Japan event courtesy of the Pacific Islands Club Guam based on their result at last year’s Pacific Islands Club International Road Race.

Since 1995 the PIC International Road Races have enjoyed a sister-race relationship with the Fujiyoshia Fire Festival Road Race. Taking place in the city of Fujiyoshida in Japan every August, the top male and female resident finishers of the 10K and Half Marathon PIC International Road Race events are invited to participate in the Fujiyoshida Fire Festival Road Race.
