PRESS RELEASE – The Agat Cardinals keep their 2013 Championship hopes alive in the Guam Seniors Spring Baseball League Playoffs.
The Cardinals defeated the Padres, 12-2, on Friday, August 16, 2013 in the Losers’ Bracket of the Double-Elimination Playoff format to advance to the Championship Game against Guahan on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Paseo Stadium.
With a 13-0 regular season record, and 2-0 in the playoffs, Guahan had hoped to end the 2013 season on Sunday night. It was not to be as the Agat Cardinals came back to win it, 6-5, and force the “IF” game on Monday, 7 p.m., August 19, 2013 at Paseo.
