SPRING GOLDEN HOOPS WEEK 2
PRESS RELEASE – Bud Light Golden Hoops Classic (GHC) 2013 Spring Tournament completed its second week of games giving the fans action packed games Sunday and Wednesday at Tamuning Gym.
“After watching all the teams play this past week the fans can definitely expect to see top notch teams battle it out on the court in all three divisions in the coming weeks,” stated tournament coordinator Elsa Ulloa.
In the 18 plus competitive division Team Defenders (1-1) earned its first win against NOVA (1-2) 67-46. Defenders ended the game with an exclamation point in the final 20 seconds with back to back slam dunks by Barry Endsley that got the crowd roaring in the stands as the buzzer sounded off. Teammate Adam Lloyd scored 14 points followed by Endsley with 13 points. NOVA’s Steve Yates scored a game high 16 points and Josh Madrid scored 11 points in the loss.

Four Stars 77, Team Bullets 33; Agat MO 57, R&J Royalty 38, Mr. Rubbishman 51, Four Stars 46; Team Justice 62, NOVA 43; Tamuning Typhoons I 77, Bank of Guam 68; Tooth Fairies 72, Tamuning Typhoons II 51; Team Justice 61, R&J Royalty 42; Agat MO 79, Team Bullets 61.
30 plus competitive division
Team Defenders 88, Tamuning Typhoons II 61; Tamuning Typhoons I 71, Bank of Guam 45; Tamuning Typhoons I won by forfeit against Team Fire.
Coed recreation division
Tamuning Typhoons 46, Ada’s Trust 34; Thunder Cats won in overtime 65-64 against Tango INC 54.
Team Defenders played their first game against NOVA earning the win 67-46 on January 30 at Tamuning Gym.
