The final round for the McDonalds Guam Youth Bowler of the month pitted top seed Jeremiah Camacho against 3rd seed Zayne Zamora. Camacho kept a slight lead over the lower seed throughout the duration of the match and sealed on a missed split by Zamora on the ninth frame for 150+21 to 140+17 score contested on the 35′ WTBA pattern.
In the earlier matches, Zamora opened the semi-final round with a turkey to erase the 22 pins handicap deficit against 2nd seed Jared Nicholas and held on to win the match 177+17 to 129+39. The first elimination round Zamora took control of the early frames to defeat fourth seed Carlos Pangelinan 179+17 to 163+26.
Camacho took control of the qualifying round held earlier in the day with a commanding scratch total of 828 pins bowling games of 192, 242 189 and 205. The ten year old top seed finished the four game event with 944 pins on 116 pins of handicap followed by his brother Jared Nicholas 831 (156 handicap), Zamora 806 (68), Pangelinan 767 (104), Noah Taimanglo 753 (124), Cesar Villaneuva 745 (92), Jaesang Lee 720 (156), Greg Borja 715, Nikko Gutierrez 710 (80) and Robert Barlongo’s 692 (172) rounded off the top ten.
The next McDonald’s Guam Youth Bowler of the Month will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Central Lanes Bowling Center.
