The #2 seeded FD Friars started off the evening taking on the #7 seeded Tiyan Titans. FD opened up strong scoring three two in the first 15 minutes, but a score from Tiyan made things interesting in the first half. FD poured it on in the second half, running the Titan’s out of the playoffs to a 41-5 final.
The #5 seeded JFK Islanders struck first blood against the #3 Okkodo Bulldogs on a penalty kick to go up 3-0 early, but Okkodo quickly answered back with a try from Mcferson Souleian to take the lead 5-3. Rico Nedlic added to it with a try up the middle to go up 10-3. The Bulldogs added scored in the second half from Bart Abuan with Zion Ferrara putting the finishing touches with a score on the last possession of the game. The Bulldogs advance with a 24-3 victory.
The last game of the evening was between the #4 seeded Sanchez Sharks taking on the #6 seeded Southern Dolphins. The Sharks swam through the Dolphin defense blanking them 19-0 with tries from Hansen Ignacio, Brandon Reyes and Sigfrido Sanchez.
The Semifinals are set for Saturday with the Friars taking on the Bulldogs followed by the Geckos vs the Sharks.
