Raiders quarterback Will Williams has been dominant all season and the Saturday evening Budweiser Football League match-up at Eagle field against the Steelers was just another opportunity for Williams to wreak havoc.

The Raiders blew the game open in the third quarter after Williams scored his third touchdown on the ground, a 30-yard scamper, which gave the Raiders a 26-0 lead. The Raiders tacked on a few more scores en route to a 34-0 win over a struggling Steelers team.  He finished with three rushing touchdowns and one passing touchdown.

The only blemish to Williams stat line came in the fourth quarter after throwing his first interception. A couple of Steelers possessions later, Williams intercepted the ball while playing defensive back, offsetting his previous turnover. Williams also managed to sack Steelers quarterback Andrew Apatang in end zone for a safety.

Wide Receiver Alex Azcarraga has been Williams favorite target and the pair hooked up on the teams second touchdown, which was argued to be an incomplete catch, in the second quarter to go up 14-0. Azcarraga made numerous third down catches for the Raiders also showing his defensive skills grabbing an interception in the fourth quarter.

The Steelers defense started out strong rendering the Raiders scoreless in the first quarter but they seemed to never get off the field because of their struggling offense which was their downfall. Steelers’ Luke Taitague had a couple of sacks early on making it difficult for Williams to get going but the Raiders quarterback can only be contained for so long before putting his stamp on the game.

Ryan Rios, linebacker of the Raiders, played a big part in the shutout and finished the game taking a few snaps at quarterback in the fourth quarter. The Steelers defense was able to intercept Rios in the end zone preventing another score.

The Steelers offense was moving in the wrong direction as a result of bad snaps and scrambling in the backfield which set the Raiders up in good field position after every turnover. The final touchdown of the game came in the third quarter off a bad snap while the Steelers were trying to punt the ball. But Raiders’ Matt Javier was quicker to the fumble which he scooped and ran in for a defensive touchdown.

BFL action continues Sunday with the Angels vs. Eagles.
