PRESS RELEASE – PXC features a very special professional MMA bout on August 9th in Guam, when 2 Muay Thai Champions face off in what will surely be an action packed exchange!
Thailand native and Muay Thai Legend, Rambaa Somdet will square up against Filipino Muay Thai Champion and undefeated MMA fighter, Robin Catalan, as both fighters make their debut in PXC’s explosive Flyweight Division (125 Pounds).
According to Somdet, “I plan on putting on a show from the time I walk out in front of the crowd to the time I go back to the locker room!”
Rambaa is widely considered the best Muay Thai fighter to make the move to professional MMA, and was recently featured in an article by Fight Parrot as the Top Prospect for UFC’s new Strawweight Division recently announced by Dana White. Rambaa fights at both 115 pounds as well 125 pounds.
Robin Catalan hails from Manila, Philippines, and is undefeated in professional MMA at 2-0. He is an explosive fighter with a lot of hear, and at 21 years old, may have the youth and endurance to outlast Somdet in his late 30’s.
Robin Catalan recently stated, “I am excited to fight in Guam, and I will make a big name for myself when I win this fight!”
PXC-38 will take place this Friday, August 9th at The UOG Field House in Mangilao, Guam, and is expected to sell out due to a stacked card of 9 bouts featuring fighters from Japan, Hawaii, Thailand, The Philippines, Saipan and Guam.
