STUNNERZ CRUSH RAIDERS 75-7

The defending champion Island Stunnerz racked up the score and the rushing yardage in a huge 75-7 win over the Lady Raiders Sunday in Guam Women’s Tackle Football League action.

Last year’s Stunnerz championship was in a six-person format. This season they are playing in an eight-person format.

The trio of  Lorina Marquez, Tonya Flores and Jen Buyske had a field day behind their offensive line, combining for 347 yards rushing and nine touchdowns.

Marquez led the way with 130 yards and four TDs, Flores had 121 yards and two scores and Buyske almost made the 100-yard mark herself with 96 yards and finding the end zone three times.

Debby Harry led the stout Stunnerz defense with nine tackles.

For the new Raiders, Jovanee Borja had a good game with 97 yards rushing and scored the only touchdown. Janice Campos added 43 yards on the ground.

With the Stunnerz controlling the clock and the ball throughout, Raider Tammy Guzman tallied up 17 tackles.

Ruff Ryders 40, Lady Spartans 0

 The Ryders Melissa Perdue, was huge with 203 yards rushing and added 65 passing yards with four TD’s in the big shutout.
