Three Guam riders are currently in Malaysia competing in the FIM Asia Motorcross Championship.
Pro rider Sean Lipanovich and Gregorio Perez are in the MX2 or 250cc 4 stroke class while Stan Yasuhiro is riding in the Veterans Class.
Unfortunately, mechanical issues have affected all three riders.
On Friday, Lipanovich finished the first moto in second place, only to DNF in moto 2 due to mechanical issues. Perez wasn’t able to even get on the track in the motos because problems with his bike.
Yasuhiro also had mechanical issues from the get-go earlier in the week, however, he managed to finish in fourth place in both Veteran motos using a borrowed 250F.

UPDATE: Lipanovich did very well in Day 2, pulling the whole shot in both motos, taking third in Moto 1 and first place in Moto 2. Overall in the two-day event, Lipanovich finished fourth overall.
