Two of Guam’s most renowned mixed martial arts fighters had announcements less than 24 hours of one another.

Frank ‘The Crank’ Camacho announced Wednesday night via his social media that he’s booked for his next UFC lightweight clash against Beniel Dariush in UFC Singapore on Oct. 26.

Thursday morning, GSPN received confirmation from Bellator that Jon Tuck has been signed to face veteran lightweight Brandon Girtz in Bellator Dublin on Sept 27.

“We are making travel arrangements now for him,” Bellator matchmaker Rich Chou said about their signing of Tuck.

The ‘Super Saiyan’ (10-5) hasn’t fought since a unanimous decision loss to Drew Dober over a year ago on Aug 25, 2018. Chou said right now, it’s a one-fight deal with the window open for future deals.

The announcement was a surprise to many as there has been no news of Tuck’s release from the UFC. If that is it for Tuck in the UFC, he finished 4-5 in that promotion.

As for Camacho, he’ll be taking on Tuck’s good friend and stateside training partner Dariush. It’s a big step up in competition after an impressive win over Nick Hein last summer. The headliner for the Singapore card is grappling wizards Damien Maia vs. Ben Askren.
