Guam brawler Alex Castro laid it all on the line in his second pro bare knuckle fight before succumbing to a fifth knockdown in the fourth round at the BKFC fights in Hollywood, Florida.
After the fight, the commentator called Castro, “Ultra tough. Ultra resilient.”
Castro, who had two previous booked fights canceled last minute this past year, was a huge -715 underdog against Nicaraguan Edgard Pazaola.
1st round
It was a good round for both fighters, but a knockdown by Pazaola with a clean right that Castro popped right back up was the difference as the judges called it 10-8.
2nd round
The aggressive Pazaola recorded two knockdowns in the second round, coming from both the right and left hands. Again, Castro popped right back up from both knockdowns.
3rd round
Pazaola kept aggressive and recorded the fourth knockdown as Castro grabbed the ropes off from another attack.
4th round
Castro was very aggressive in the opening minute, letting go some huge blows. In the clinch, however, Pazaola landed a body shot and Castro couldn’t recover, taking the 10-count from his knees.
This was Castro’s first BKFC fight stateside. His debut was in BKFC Thailand 4 in December 2022. Pazaola has won three BKFC fights in 2024.
