Strong Start The Outlaws got great field positioning to start the game after the Packers failed to recover the ball on an onside kick. Torres’ 16-yard rush gave quarterback Kaizayuh Flores the space he needed to connect to Salas on a 29 yard pass. Torres completed the drive with a rushing touchdown putting the Outlaws up 6-0.
Preparation is Key Looking to answer back, the Packers lined up in a trips formation. However, Salas jumped the screen pass to secure the interception, getting the ball back for the Outlaws.
“We were going over that play a lot [in practice], and when we saw that formation, we just put that [practice] to work,” said Salas.
