GSPN BRINGS BACK FOOTBALL STATS

Football stats are back!

Published on

It’s been a generation since the Pacific Daily News provided football statistics for the entire high school league.

Thanks to 76 gas stations, GSPN is glad to be on the sidelines of each and every game to bring you what you want – stats!

After two weeks of play, it’s the top three teams – FD, GW, Southern – doing what they’ve been expected to do by dominating the lower teams. Guam High is the unknown factor. No one really knows what they have and forfeiting their first game against GW didn’t help.

As for statistics, FD junior running back Javin Meno leads all runners with more than 10 yards per carry. Southern freshman quarterback Ghesan Gaje is well on his way of airing it out, already passing for 432 yards and five TDs in his first two high school games.

Defensively, FD senior defensive end Isaiah Salas had a huge game in their Week 2 win over the Sanchez Sharks, coming up with two sacks and an interception he returned 23 yards for a touchdown. Teammate Mason Whitaker (LB) leads the league so far with 13 tackles after two games.

We will have the cumulative statistics posted every Wednesday afternoon throughout the season.
