MILAN, PINAULA ARE TOP HIGH SCHOOL BOWLERS

The 2025-2026 IIAAG All-Island Bowling Championships concluded Tuesday afternoon at Central Lanes in Tamuning, with FD’s Jaden Milan and Academy’s Summer Pinaula claiming the individual titles. Both champions had to defeat fellow teammates in their respective final playoff matches.

Individual Champions

Girls Division
Pinaula defeated her teammate Aha’ani Sablan in the final match, 184-133. Pinaula, who entered the match-play as the third seed with a 453 qualifying series, opened her semifinal match against second-seed Charmaine Tyquiengco (Harvest) with an early lead and consistent spare conversions, winning 184-133.

Boys Division
Milan defeated teammate Ezekiel Gatan in a dramatic final that went down to the last frame. Milan secured the victory with a tenth-frame punch-out, winning 226-208. Milan led the qualifying field with a 617 series (games of 206, 214, 197).

Matchplay Results and Standings

Gatan, the second seed with a 596 qualifying series, advanced to the final by narrowly defeating teammate Ayden Buentipo 192-188 in the semifinals.

In the girls qualifying, Aha’ani Sablan led with a 540 series, including a season-high 214 in the second game. Harvest Eagle Charmaine Tyquiengco secured the second seed with a 480 series. Tyquiengco bowled a 211 game in the second game of qualifying, also a season personal high game achievement.

The IIAAG season will conclude on Thursday at 4 pm with the team event. A team champion will be crowned via a new Bakers event, where four players from each school will compete in a matchplay best-of-three format.
