The lanes lit up with fierce competition and thrilling comebacks as the Tiyan Titans boys team stormed to the top during Week 2 of the ISA High School Bowling League.
After a slow start in the eight-game Baker format, the Titans—Robert Peredo III, Eyan Duenas, Joseph Mesa, and Xavier Sablan—found their rhythm and rolled their way to victory with a sizzling 236 high game and a clutch 212 finish, racking up a total of 1447 pins.
The Sanchez Sharks came out swinging with back-to-back 213 games, making waves early in the competition. The quartet of Cyrus Abad, Ethan Domingo, Christian Bernal, and Gerwin Lagman kept the pressure on, finishing just 89 pins behind the Titans and securing second place.
The JFK Islanders—Zayne Ayangco, Christof Pineda, Aidan George, and Leland DeVera—held their ground with consistent play, landing in third just 84 pins behind the Sharks. Okkodo Bulldogs—Kyle Leonardo, Billy Rey Donor, Javen Coronado, and Deon Apatang—showed grit and determination, punching in a high game of 210 and finishing fourth, only 45 pins shy of the podium. Southern Dolphins rounded out the top five with a solid showing, keeping the competition tight and the energy high.
With their commanding performance, the Titans now lead the overall standings by a razor-thin margin of half a point, followed closely by the Islanders, Sharks, Bulldogs, Dolphins, BTACS Bulls, and GW Geckos. Every pin counts as the race heats up
