Amphibious Aquatics impress at Asian Open Schools Invitational
PRESS RELEASE – Amphibious Aquatics announced results from the Asian Open Schools Invitational (AOSI) Swimming Championships 2026, held January 29th – February 1st in Bangkok.
21 young athletes delivered standout performances, personal bests, and spirited teamwork that showcased the depth of Amphibious Aquatics across all age groups and events. Over 1,100 swimmers representing 21 countries and territories, competed in individual events and relays over the course of the 4-day meet.
The Amphibious Aquatics 2026 AOSI Swim Roster included Lauren Ada, Addison Apiag, Maverick Apiag, Esme Bui, Imani Camacho, Matua Camacho, Tanom Camacho, Kalista Datu, Ila Denight, Raiden Duenas, Skyler Duenas, Logan Gandaoli, Demi Hurchanik, Ninahi Lee, Ella Pangelinan, Tommy Phillips, Gabriel Rodriguez, Islabela Rodriguez, Honglin Song, Naleeyah Thompson, and Naiatea Wooley.
Standout performances at the recent swim meet were highlighted by all 21 Amphibious Aquatics swimmers achieving multiple personal records and season-best times across distance freestyle, butterfly, backstroke, and medley events. Seven swimmers qualified as top-eight finalists in 23 events.
Of note, Demi Hurchanik, Islabela Rodriguez, Kalista Datu, and Esme Bui earned podium finishes, contributing to a strong team showing.
Significantly, Hurchanik set a new championship record in the 100m Breaststroke event with her second-place finish. Notably, Esme Bui earned two bronze medals, highlighting a standout performance among the newcomers. “This event reinforced why we train so hard: perseverance, teamwork, and a culture that celebrates every swimmer’s progress. We’re incredibly proud of our athletes and the unwavering support of our families and coaches,” said Jolenna Gandaoli, Amphibious Aquatics President.
“Our swimmers showed strategic discipline, relentless effort, and true character. The results speak for themselves, but the growth in confidence and technique is what will drive us forward in the season’s remaining meets. I’m grateful for our coaching staff and the incredible community behind them,” said Head Coach Andy Lee. Amphibious extends heartfelt thanks to the families, guardians, volunteers, and team members whose dedication and encouragement empower our athletes to chase excellence.
