AMIGOS TOP SEED IN PLAYOFFS

PRESS RELEASE – Budweiser Fall Amateur Baseball League action continued Monday night at Leo Palace resort with unbeaten Chalan Pago Amigos taking on the surging Sumay Braves winner of two straight.

The Amigos and reliever Paul Campos would hold off the Braves and come back against Braves starter Mark Parks to take a 5-4 win and stay unbeaten throught the regular season.

The Braves would break open a 1-1 tie game in the top of the 4th inning with Will Perez, McCarley Masahary and Justin Candoleta sparking the offense with hits to give the Braves a 5-1 lead.

The Braves Mark Parks would throw another gem allowing only six hits and striking out eleven in six innings.  However a 5th inning two out single by the Amigo’s TJ Aguon would score two runs to give the Amigos a 5-4 lead.  Amigos reliever Paul Campos would blank the Braves the final three innings to pick up the win and Strike Zone Player of the Game.

Justin Candoleta was 3 for 4 with two stolen bases for the Braves who even their record at 3-3.  The Amigos stay perfect at 7-0 and have the #1 seed for the playoffs scheduled to begin October 14.
