24-year-old Nicole Tainatongo won the CrossFit Games Asia Regional Sunday in Korea, beating out 31 other entries.

The Malesso native, who came in fourth place last year, left little doubt in the three-day competition as she came in first place in four of the seven events spread out over the three days. She did not finish any of the events lower than third place.

And this all from an athlete who just wanted to finish the competition a year ago. She is a Marine Science Technician Second Class in the US Coast Guard stationed on Guam.

As the winner of the Asia Regional, she automatically qualifies for The Games which start on July 22 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.

Tainatongo was a beast on all seven events, earning much respect and the title as Asia’s fittest!

GSPN congratulates Nicole!
