PRESS RELEASE – In the clash of the top two teams in the U17 division of the Chevrolet Robbie Webber Youth Soccer League, both the Wings Red and the ASC Islanders Betde lacked the finishing prowess seen in previous matches to settle for a scoreless draw at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

With the draw, Quality Distributors Red officially usurp the first place spot in the division standings, picking up its third win in as many games. The new frontrunners defeated Community First Dededo Soccer Club 5-3 behind a hat trick by Raymond Macias and a goal each from teammates Joshua Cepeda and Jon Cabral. Nicholas Cabuhat earned a brace for Community First and teammate Patson Haimin scored the team’s other goal.

In the division’s final game of the day, the Mini Masakåda, the Guam U14 Girls national team, forced a 2-2 draw with the ASC Islanders. Skyylerblu Johnson sent a perfectly arched shot to teammate Colleen Naden who was unmarked near the goal. Naden scored the tying goal on the play. Naden also scored the Mini Masakåda’s other goal. Devan Mendiola and Noah Duenas scored the Islanders’ goals in the contest.
