CARDINALS FLY PAST RED HAWKS

The 76 Cardinals defeated the Yona Red Hawks Sunday night after the ‘Hawks picked up their first win of the season against the A’s last week in the Budweiser Baseball League.

The 76 Cardinals defeated the Yona Red Hawks Sunday night 8-3 after the ‘Hawks picked up their first win of the season against the A’s last week in the Budweiser Baseball League.

The Cardinals did all their damage in the opening inning going up 7-0 after a series off walks, pass balls, and fielders choice’s that quickly put up five runs that led to the early exit of Yona’s Mark Parks for Robby Rabago.

An error in the infield scored two more runs for the Cardinals blowing the game wide open.

The Red Hawks picked up their first run midway through the 3rd inning after an RBI from Jesse Fernandez. They scored their second run off a fielders choice in the 4th inn in, but still could not establish consistent hitting.

Winning pitcher was Cardinals Josh Aguigui with 5K’s and losing pitcher was Parks only getting 1K in the opening inning.

Jarred Alerta went 2-5 with an RBI and Jesse Alerta went 1-3 with an RBI as well. Leo Ever went 1-2 and benefitted with 2 runs.

Jesse Fernandez went 1-2 and had the lone RBI for the Red Hawks.

The Cardinals get back to a winning record at (2-2) while the Red Hawks fall to (1-3).
