Escalona leads Braves over Jaguars

(Leo Palace Park)- The Sumay Santa Rita Braves and Agana Heights Jaguars closed out the regular season in the Youth 12U Top Gun League with Xavier Escalona leading the Braves to a 8-3 win over Jaguars. Escalona picked up Strike Zone Player of the Game going 3 for 3 with a triple and two rbi. Escalona also notches the win with 1 2/3 innings out of the bullpen and Ethan Lobaton struck out six batters in only two innings to get the save.
Javyhn Laguana was 2 for 2 for the Jaguars who finish the regular season 2-4 with the #3 seed. Rodney Charfourus was 3 for 3 for the Braves who finish with a 3-3 record and the #2 seed for the playoffs.
The 12U Top Gun playoffs kick off this Saturday October 25 at Leo Palace Resort. #2 Braves take on the #3 Jaguars at 12pm and the #1 Yigo Astros take on the #4 Sinajana Giants at 3pm.
