Little League Headquarters Renders Decision For 2015 Asia Pacific Regional    

Condition of Readiness and Unplayable Field Conditions Shorten Tournament

SAIPAN – The approaching storm and unplayable field conditions at the 2015 Asia Pacific (ASPAC) Little League Regional Tournament have halted Championship games in the Junior, Senior, and Big League Divisions.

Guam’s Senior and Big League AllStars were to have played their Championship games, Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Francisco Palacios Field in Saipan, CNMI, however, the impending storm and unplayable conditions have forced tournament officials to call off the games.

Tournament Director, James Ada, consulted with Little League Headquarters in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, to receive instruction on the tournament division championships. As of 3:00 p.m., CST, Little League officials in Pennsylvania have advised ASPAC tournament officials that via best records in tournament play; Chinese Taipei has been declared ASPAC champions in the Junior and Big League Divisions while the CNMI has been declared champions in the Senior Division.

The closing ceremony for participating countries, Australia, CNMI, Chinese Taipei, Guam, Hong Kong, and the Philippines, was held at 5:00 p.m. at the Mango Resort in Koblerville.

Chinese Taipei will represent ASPAC in the Junior Division(Ages 13-14)at the Little League World Series in Taylor, Michigan, from Aug 16-23, 2015. CNMI will represent ASPAC in the Senior Division(Ages 14-16) Little League World Series at Bangor, Maine, from Aug. 2-8, 2015. Chinese Taipei will represent ASPAC in the Big League Division(Ages 15-18)at the Little League World Series in Easley, South Carolina, from July 28-Aug. 4, 2015.
