Taitano is the son of Bruce and Clarissa Taitano who are from Guam but currently reside in Alabama.
Competing out of Evolution Strengh and Conditioning/Gracie Barra BJJ in Alabama, Taitano swept his division in No-Gi for his first medal, then followed up with a Gi-Division win for his weight class to bring home a championship belt!
Before Taitano could enjoy his winnings he was asked to compete 20 pounds up hill as a replacement for another No-Gi Division.
“He was up for the challenge and he went on to win his third 1st place Championship Gold Medal,” said Bryson’s mother Clarissa.
