PRESS RELEASE – Bud Light Golden Hoops Classic (GHC) 2017 Fall Tournament completed its day of
champions in the open coed recreation and men’s recreation division on Sunday at
Tamuning Gym.
Coed recreation division:
Team OG seeded 1 swept the playoffs defending its title against the Tamuning Typhoons
in a 67-60 victory. Tristan Tapia led his team in scoring with 24 points. Tapia was named
MVP and received the division top scorer award with 175 total points averaging 19.44
per game.
Men’s varsity division:
The Falcons were challenged by the Guahan Warriors who played a physical game. The
Warriors did not back down as they scored on fast breaks taking the game to overtime
with the game tied 52-52.
In overtime it was Falcons Lance Gogue who secured the 60-54 win with back to back
layups. Gogue had a game high 17 points earning him the MVP for the game. Tamuning
Typhoons Cloyd Rosas received the division top scorer award with 138 total points
averaging 17.25 per game.

Falcons Lance Gogue was named MVP and Tamuning Typhoons Cloyd Rosas received the top scorer division with a total of 138 points averaging 17.25 per game.
