GUAM RUGBY PLAYERS WELL REPRESENTED ON DEFENDING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

Former Guam rugby standouts are representing well in Saint Mary’s college.

Back in February 2015, former FD player Danilo Rapadas was starting for the defending national champions Saint Mary’s Gaels.

Less than three years later, you look at the Gaels roster and they’ve added five more players from Guam. These five players are playing on B and C teams in hopes of playing on A Team in the future.

Jake Benito

The former rugby and football prep star for FD took his freshman year off recovering from wrist surgery. Benito played with a bad wrist his last year of high school. You wouldn’t noticed the way he ran through defenses on the gridiron and pitch. At 5’9, his position is Center on the pitch.

Errett Alexander

Alexander attended St. John’s and gained expereince with the Guam national team. At 5’10, he will play fly half.

Joshua Lujan

The former Rugby MVP is in his 2nd season with the Gaels. At 5’10 he will play Prop.

Amiotonu San Nicolas

The former All-Island rugby and football player is in his first season with the Gaels. At 6’0 he will play prop.

Alex Shinohara

Shinohara enter his 2nd season with the Gaels. Alex is a former all island rugby and football player. At 6’1 he will play prop.
