FD/Academy combo continue their domination!

The 5th Annual GSPN High School Cup standings determine the best all-around athletic program in the IIAAG for the 2017-2018 season.

The cup counts varsity sports in football, cross-country, golf, volleyball, soccer, basketball, baseball, wrestling, softball, tennis, rugby, track & field, and paddling. The point system is as follows 5 points for All Island Champions and 1 point per playoff victory.

First Quarter Results (46 Points)

Football: FD – 8, GW – 2,  JFK – 2, Tiyan – 1

Boys Cross Country: Guam High – 5

Girls Cross Country: Guam High – 5

Boys Golf: FD – 5

Girls Golf: Academy – 5

Girls Volleyball: ND – 8, St. John’s – 2, AOLG – 2, St. Paul – 1

Second Quarter Results (49 Points)

Baseball: FD – 8, GW – 2,  Tiyan – 2, Sanchez – 1

Boys Wrestling: FD – 5

Girls Wrestling: SS – 5

Boys Soccer: FD – 8, JFK – 2, Harvest – 2, Southern – 1

Girls Basketball: St. Paul – 8, Academy – 2, ND – 2, Okkodo – 1

Third Quarter Results (62 Points)

Boys Tennis: FD – 5

Girls Tennis: Harvest – 5

Boys Rugby: FD – 8, Sanchez – 2, JFK – 2, GW – 1

Girls Rugby: GW – 8, Academy – 2, Southern – 2, ND – 1

Softball: JFK – 8, Academy – 2, Guam High – 2, Southern – 1

Boys Basketball: St. John’s – 8, St. Paul – 2, JFK – 2, FD – 1

Standings after 3rd Quarter (157 Points)

1st FD/AOLG: 61 Points – The Friars/Cougars had a chance to sweep every sport this quarter. FD picks up titles in tennis, rugby, and placed 4th in basketball. Academy placed 2nd in rugby and softball.

2nd JFK: 16 Points – The Islanders move into 2nd overall. Girls softball repeats as champions. Boys basketball and rugby placed 3rd.

3rd GW: 13 Points – Lady Geckos continue dynasty in rugby. Boys rugby placed 4th.

4th Guam High: 12 Points – Lady Panthers place 3rd in softball.

5th ND and St. Paul: 11 Points – The Lady Royals placed 4th in rugby. The Warriors placed 2nd in boys basketball.

6th St. Johns: 10 points – The Knights complete the dream season and win the boys basketball title.

7th Simon Sanchez: 8 Points – The Sharks placed 2nd in boys rugby.

8th Harvest: 7 Points – The Lady Eagles win first tennis title.

9th Southern: 4 Points – The Lady Dolphins place 3rd in rugby and 4th in softball.

10th Tiyan: 3 Points

11th Okkodo: 1 Point
