Coach Rem spent 37 years with the St. Anthony Raiders

Long-time PE teacher and coach Remy Cruz passed away recently on January 17th.

Romeo “Remy” Efren Diaz Cruz was a beloved teacher at the St. Anthony School for 37 years from 1973 to 2010.

Former students have flooded social media, remembering Remy as ‘super cool’ and ‘the best PE teacher’.

Positively affecting young lives for four decades, Cruz was a dedicated staffer with the Sisters of Mercy running the Tamuning Catholic school starting at the age of 22 before retiring at 60.

Funeral arrangements are set for February 11.
