The second week of the annual FD Alumni Basketball Tournament saw the emergence of 16’/17’ as leaders in the Maroon division while the fresh class of 2023 has managed to turn the heads of many of their seniors by taking down last years’ runner up, 2020, as well as blowing out their ten year class, 2013, with their defense and explosive offense.
It is still anyone’s guess how the playoff picture will turn out, as unexpected upsets and wild turnarounds could easily shake up projections, yet the extremely experienced classes of ‘06 and ‘02/’04 are always safe bets to make deep runs towards the end of the tournament.
As we turn around the halfway point of regular tournament play, each class begins to rev up for playoffs to see who will be crowned champions of the 2023 Father Duenas Alumni tournament.
