Aarman Sachdev and Aidan Schembari are set to represent Guam at the 10th Micronesian Games in Majuro, Marshall Islands, accompanied by coach Christian Penafiel.
The team of three are very tight knit and hope for a good outcome on the court. Coming off from a gold medal performance in the Pacific Games in 2023, they hope to keep the ball rolling.
“Our toughest competition is going to be NMI as they won gold in the team event at the Pacific Mini Games, and their top players are coming to represent, however, Team Guam is coming off a gold medal in the Pacific Games, and we are ready to compete at a high level and represent our island well,” said Sachdev on the competition going into the games.
Both will be playing in the singles and doubles events.
“Aidan and I will be playing doubles as well, we are super close and play together a lot so we have a lot of chemistry, practicing with him has been going very well and we have been working on some tactics and strategies that will help us a lot during the Games.”
