WEEK 2 OF DPR LIBERATION VILLAGE BASEBALL TOURNAMENT
Agat 2 looks strong with win over Chalan Pago
Agat 2 has some solid talent on the roster and it showed on the field Saturday afternoon, as they took down the Chalan Pago Amigos 8-4 in the DPR Liberation Village Baseball Tournament.
It is the second weekend of the newly formed tournament.
EJ Lobaton, Joel Sablan, Peter Wall, Kaleb Cruz and Corey Duenas all went 2-for-4 for Agat as they improve to 2-0 in the tournament. The offense banged out 14 hits.
Starting pitcher Jared Alerta went 4 1/2 innings, scattering six hits and two runs. Closer Florencio Binuya shut the door on the Amigos in the final inning.
It was Chalan Pago’s first game of the tournament. Aleton Mesgnon had three hits for the Amigos while Brandon Panaguiton pitched the entire game.
