Sablan, Jacot take opening round leads

The first round of the 2025 Guam Amateur Golf Championship took place Sunday with the Country Club of the Pacific, and after the first of three rounds, Ivan Sablan and Tyanna Jacot find themselves atop the leaderboard once again as both go for a three-peat.

Sablan, coming off a successful college season, shot an even par 72, including three birdies. He holds a comfortable four-stroke leader over veteran Louie Sunga. Youngster Stussy Shiroma is a stroke back after a 77 as the men shot from the championship black tips.

Jacot, still just 17-years-old, shot a 79 and holds a comfortable five-stroke lead.

The second and third rounds will also be at CCP this coming weekend.
