The Harvest Eagles made school history, winning the boys beach volleyball league in their very first season of competition.
In previous years, Harvest players participated with other schools. This is the very first time they’ve spread their wings, resulting in an undefeated season and the two teams finishing first and third.

“Going into the season, we wanted to identify ourselves and our culture with three words: discipline, grit, and humility and I can say we accomplished that,” Harvest coach JJ Javellana said. “It was a good season.”
CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
The Harvest duo of seniors Jack Keith and Devin Paulin came in as the top seed as they eased through the season unbeaten and losing only one set the whole way through.
They took on FD’s Jace Aguon and Kole Guerrero. The first set was a thriller as neither team could shake off the other before the Harvest pulled off an exciting 25-23 first set win. The Eagles handled the second set rather easily as they capped off a great unbeaten season 21-14.
“Jack and Devin are more seasoned and just had a fantastic season,” Coach Javellana said. “They made it really easy for me as their coach. I’m just so proud of their performance as well as how they handled it all.”
In the third place match, the St. John’s team of Jerrick Palomares/Alex Puangco pulled off a three-setter over the Harvest pair of Isaac Dungca/Jacob Ji (ranked 9th) 22-20, 17-21, 15-13.
