Guam had little trouble with American Samoa to open the 2025 Asia Pacific Senior Little League Tournament (15-6 yrs old), winning 22-0 Tuesday afternoon at Guam’s Harmon Sports Complex Field.

After the Opening Ceremony in the morning that welcomed theCNMI, the Philippines and American Samoa, Guam was not so gracious as hosts in dominating American Samoa with 15 hits and giving up only one hit in the four innings of play.

Ty Leon Guerrero and Evan Acosta, Guam’s 1-2 batters, led the charge with three hits and two RBIs as Guam blew the game wide open with 12 runs in the third inning and never looked back.

Acosta got things off in the opening inning with an inside-the-park homer for the early lead. Guam scored four more runs in the second inning before blasting the third inning with 12 runs.

Guam starter Gavin Alcantara gave up the lone American Samoa hit to Maikee Leutele in his 2+ innings of work before Pierce Castro came in and finished the rest in relief, giving up no hits.

Offensively, Colby Doyle and Juan Carlos Presnell added two hits apiece as Guam slashed out 15 hits.

In the second game of the tournament, the Philippines handled the CNMI 13-1.
