MIDDLE SCHOOL PONY LEAGUE FINALS THIS WEEKEND

PRESS RELEASE – The 8th Annual 76 PONY ISA Middle School Baseball League is winding down after 36 games of league competition.

8-teams vying for the championship has been narrowed down to the final 4-teams in contention: #1seed Agueda Johnston Pirates 6-0, #2 seed Benevente Roadrunners 5-1-1, #3 seed Bishop Obispos 5-2, #4 seed Oceanview Knights have advanced to the championship round.

The 3-game single elimination championship round begins Saturday, March 15 with championship game Sunday, March 16, 12 pm.

2:30 pm PO Game #2 4 seed Knights vs 1 seed Pirates
12 pm PO Game #3 Winner PO#1 vs Winner PO@2 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

The championship team will receive a $300 cash award from PONY Baseball. Champion and runner-up trophies will also be awarded.

“It has been a long middle school baseball season this year with 36-games over a 7-weeks. The league experienced several rainout and suspended games. Thanks to Okkodo High School for their continued support of middle school baseball and softball. Special recognition to ISA Middle School Sports Coordinator Carol Cardines-Finch and Mike Soderquist, League Director for their leadership this whole season with keeping the schedule running and field preparation and maintenance. Of course, South Pacific Petroleum Corporation (76) title sponsor and Guam PONY Baseball for making the season possible; says Bill Bennett PONY League Official.

Middle school players are now looking forward to the Pony youth leagues that begin March 22, 2025. 8 youth teams have already registered to play in the Spring PONY Youth Baseball League with games scheduled into May this year.
