Things are looking good for Ivan Sablan and Tyanna Jacot to pull off a three-peat in the 2025 Guam Amateur Golf Champions after extending their leads in the second round on Saturday at the Country Club of the Pacific.
Sablan shot a two-over 74 to hold a comfortable seven-stroke lead over Louis Sunga, who shot a 77. Timothy Hubert evened Sablan’s 74 to jumped to a tie for third place with Stussy Shiroma, one stroke behind Sunga.
In the ladies division, Jacot goes into Sunday’s final round with a five-stroke lead after a round of 78. veteran Rose Tarpley shot a best round of 77 to leap into second place. Fellow veteran Tessie Blair is three strokes behind Tarpley.
In the masters division, David Blas is cruising along after a low round of 81. He heads into Sunday’s round with a three-stroke lead over James Shimizu.
