TAIJERON TOPS BASEBALL SEASON AS MVP

Notre Dame versatile junior gets best player nod

Notre Dame Royals junior Trace Taijeron was the runaway MVP selection for the 2025 high school baseball season, as voted by the league teams and GSPN.

The all-around player logged in time in six of the nine positions on the field. The only positions he didn’t play were catcher, 2nd base and right field.

Three of the top players in the league made it to the final look for MVP as last year’s winner Peter Concepcion from Tiyan and fellow senior Saez Alvarez from FD joined Taijeron. In the end, the versatility of Taijeron won out for the MVP bid.

He led the Royals to the #1 seed heading into Thursday’s semifinals.

7-1 Notre Dame and 7-1 FD both had five players each on the First Team. The Friars, however, had the most overall players represented with 10 players.

JFK catcher Hailee Gumataotao is the lone female to make the list in the 2nd Team.

Here is the complete All-Island list for 2025.
