GW Geckos superstar Rayn Rios added another MVP to his illustrious high school career, earning his second straight boys rugby Most Valuable Award Saturday after the championship matches were held.
Rios, who has a well-recorded list of accomplishments in football and wrestling, has a hand-full of college rugby offers coming in. He was one of 11 seniors on the 1st Team list with the other four slots going to juniors.
Notre Dame sophomore Kayla McIntosh was named the girls MVP at the center position. McIntosh led the Royals to an undefeated season, but dropped a heart-breaking 7-5 loss to the Academy Cougars in the championship match.
