TWO GUAM NINJAS TO APPEAR ON AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR

PRESS RELEASE – The Guam Ninja Association announced that two of its athletes are scheduled to appear on the world famous American Ninja Warrior show. 

Guam Ninjas, Deren Perez and Rai Flores were selected to compete on the show’s 18^th season which premiers 9 Jun 2026 at 7 PM and will be shown at the Guam Museum’s outdoor theater during a watch party which is open and free to the public. The event opens at 6 PM, food vendors including Mighty Purple, will be available, and the Guam Ninja Association will raffle prizes throughout the event. Everyone is invited to the watch party.

“This is a moment for our island and our people,” said Perez.

Perez and Flores are no strangers to international competition. Perez is the first CHamoru to hit the buzzer, this season is his 6^th appearance on American Ninja Warrior. He has won multiple international titles, and most recently won 4^th place at the Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association (UNAA) World Championships in the Master’s Division. 

This is Flores’ 1^st appearance on American Ninja Warrior and he is the 1^st teenager from any U.S. Territory to appear on the popular show. 

Perez, who is Flores’ coach said, “this brings my athletic journey full circle as now I’m not only competing on the world stage, but I am also developing athletes who can shine on that stage.” 

This past year, Flores made the UNAA World Championships National Finals, won a bronze medal at the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships in Bejing, and finished 1^st at the Ozone Games Ninja Championships in Malaysia.
