It’s official: Jay Antonio and Joe Taitano step down from top GTFA positions.

Amid recent controversy over the eligibility of athletes that prompted the Guam National Olympic Committee to ban the Guam Track & Field Association from the Committee, the top two officials from GTFA – President Jay Antonio and Vice President Joe Taitano – have decided to step down from their positions on this Christmas Eve. Secretary General Marissa Peroy will take over as interim President.

Here is the official letter: GTFA-GNOC_signed

It was on Dec. when the GTFA protested in front of the GNOC Maite office trying to get official notice for their ban that was long over a year.
