Each passing day in the Micro Games seems to end in a handful of more medals for Guam’s dominant Track and Field team. The runners added eight more medals, six gold and two silver, during Wednesday evenings meet.

Seventeen track and field athletes are on their final stages of preparations before the Micronesian Games (Micro Games) from July 15-27 in Yap. The contingent has a good mix of veterans, Olympians, and future young prospects that are all eager to bring home some hardware for Guam.

The Guam High Panthers strike again! After starting the school year off with a double victory in cross country, the Panthers did it again bringing home the signature wooden Guam Seal IIAAG Championship trophies with a scoop in the boy’s and girl’s titles on their home track.

Athletes entered the mid-season of the IIAAG Track and Field high school league Friday night at the Guam High Track. The league’s stars continued to shine and coaches began experimenting with athletes in different events to get as much athletes as possible to qualify for the All-Island meet.

After a disappointing opening meet, more than 300 high school Track and Field athletes took the Guam High Track for week number two. The first meet was cut short due to lightning with several events remaining. On Friday night, the weather cooperated and all teams got their first glimpse of a complete meet.
