BENNETT TO ASSIST P.I. DEVELOPMENT

PRESS RELEASE – Privately owned Global Clark Asset Corporation announced today Guam businessman Bill Bennett from Asia Ball Fields System Specialist as the Sports Field Consultant to lead a team of professionals through the design and construction of athletic fields for the new Clark International Sports Complex.

Clark International sports ComplexThe Clark International Sports Complex will be part of a much larger 873,281 square meters development called THE VILLAGES located within the Clark Special Economic Zone, the former American Clark Air Force Base. The $5 million sports complex will be 193,177 square meters, part of the complex will include 33,382 square meter commercial center, and 26, 221 square meters Athlete Life Style Village. The Athletic Village will have a dormitory to house 8 baseball teams, a 25 meter swimming pool, and a multi-purpose covered court that doubles as a canteen and entertainment area.

“Bill Bennett brings a considerable amount of expertise and experience to the project and we are proud to have Bill as a member of our team” says Managing Director RJ Bitong.  “Bill will play an integral role in the design and construction of 8 baseball fields and two soccer field and has been a long time contributor to Philippine baseball and softball and has been involved in several other baseball field renovation projects. The development team is looking forward and excited about this project and the technical knowledge that Bill will bring.”

“I am also excited about the project” says Bennett.  Bennett’s vision is for a world class facility that will enhance the development of sports not just for the local community but also the region adding, “This facility is going to be Asia’s first world class international sports complex. There are already adult and youth baseball, softball and soccer groups locally and from the northern countries booking their tournaments and winter training events.”

Bill Bennett is the owner operator of the Strike Zone Baseball Softball Training Center on Guam with two locations, Agana and Tamuning.  Bennett is a 15 year resident of Guam and co- founder of the Guam Amateur Baseball Association and the Guam Baseball Academy.

QUICK HITS

Guam national golf team player Aki Matsuno secured second place at the FCG Hawaii World Series championship.

Matsuno’s second place finish earned him an invitation to compete in the FCG Junior Golf Championship to be held in July 2025.

A junior at St. John’s, he is also currently leading the IIAAG high school All-Island golf competition, chasing the coveted individual high school golf title.

Guam Blooded: College freshman Brianne Graves is currently ranked 5th in the nation in the 103-lb DI women’s wrestling rankings. She just beat the defending All-American.
Bri finished high school in Cincinnati, ranked #2 in the nation before signing with North Central College, which is one of the top wrestling teams in the country.
Her Evangelista grandparents are originally from Yigo.
