DEFENDERS HAND TYPHOONS FIRST LOSS

PRESS RELEASE – Bud Light Golden Hoops Classic (GHC) 2013 Spring Tournament completed its fourth week of games with teams adding more wins to their team record on Wednesday and Sunday at Tamuning Gym.

Team Justice (5-0) continued its winning streak after a victory against Dr. Ha Tooth Fairies 64-55 on February 13 at Tamuning Gym. In the 18 plus competitive division it was the top four teams meeting on the court on Wednesday to determine who would stay at the top in the standings.

Closing out the night was Team Justice (5-0) and Dr. Ha Tooth Fairies (4-1) battling it out in a tight defensive game. At the final buzzer it was Justice earning the victory 64-55 against the Fairies.

Top scorers were Jay Casimiro and Will Stinett for Justice with 16 points and 11 points. Fairies Earvin Jose, Jin Han and Charles Reyes each scored 12 points apiece.

Team Defenders gave the Tamuning Typhoons I their first loss in a high scoring game 91-80. Defenders Barry Endsley lit it up offensively scoring a game high 35 points followed by teammate Ryan Rodgers with 21 points. Typhoons I Joe Blas and Edgardo Baza scored 33 points and 31 points respectively in the loss.

Guam’s Jeremiah Camacho shot a perfect game at the 48th Hong Kong Open. The 22-year-old Guam National Team Member shot his 18th career perfect game on lanes 1 and 2 at Top Bowl Lanes in Hong Kong.
