      The IIAAG double-elimination baseball playoffs was flipped upside down Tuesday as both lower seeds knocked the two top teams into the losers bracket. The Sanchez Sharks dominated the Guam High Panthers in a 13-2 win while the GW Geckos handed the FD Friars their first loss all season in an 8-3 win.

      In a highly competitive semifinals matchup between the Academy Cougars and the GW Geckos, reigning MVP Mia San Nicolas demonstrated why she won the award twice in a row, dominating on both sides of the ball in the game’s final quarter as the Cougars win 56-49.

      The St. Paul Warriors are headed back to the IIAAG Girls Basketball Finals after powering through the Guam High Panthers in the semifinals Tuesday evening at the UOG Calvo Field House. In the first game of the semifinals double-header, the Warriors deployed their tricky press defense as they swarmed the Panthers to punch their finals ticket winning 69-30.
