SAKUDEE LOCKS UP #2 SEED

PRESS RELEASE – Thursday night Sakudee locked up the 2nd seed in the Leo Palace Baseball Amateur Division with a 6-2 win over the MTM Falcons. Sakudee rode a great pitching performance from starter Jude Manibusan who carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning but Falcon’s Craig Palomo would lead off with a single to break it up.

Sakudee would take advantage of scoring opportunities and extra base hits with 3 of their 6 hits going for extra bases.  Marvin Knowles would provide an rbi triple in the first inning and Ben Borja would also come in to score after leading off the 2nd inning with a double.

The Falcons would get an unearned in the 4th inning and that was all the could muster against Manibusan who  picks up the win going 6 innings allowing only 1 hit and striking out 8.  Sakudee closer Josh Aguigui would allow a run but close out the 7th inning to pick up the save.

Sakudee improves to 6-1 on the season and the Falcons even their record at 4-4.  The Amateur Division playoff tournament is set to start next week on Tuesday with Agat Reds taking on the Asan Guns.  Come follow the games live on facebook/AmateurBaseball Guam.
