PRESS RELEASE – The Guam Seniors Spring Baseball League (GSSBL) with a three-game schedule on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Paseo Stadium.
In the first game, Natibu’s Justin Salas coming through in the clutch with the RBI single against Kerry Guerrero to plate Francis George in the bottom of the 7th for the game-winner as Natibu edged out the Air Force Reserve 7-6. Natibu’s Ton Pangelinan going 2-for-4, an RBI, and two runs scored. Frank Camacho was 2-for-4, and two runs scored. For the Air Force Reserve, Ton Gumataotao was 3-for-4, two doubles, and three runs scored. Kerry Guerrero was 2-for-4, and two runs scored.
In the next game, Guahan crushed the Payless Typhoons, 20-1, taking the ten-run rule win in five innings. Guahan’s Keith Hattig launching a three-run home run over the wall in left in his second at-bat in the bottom of the first against John Halloran. Hattig finished the day at 2-for-3, a three-run home run, five RBI, and three runs scored. Teammate Peter Aguon went 2-for-4, three RBI, and two runs scored.
In the last game of the day, the Tatuha Twins defeated Yona Right Right, 13-8. For Tatuha, Ron Raguindin went 4-for-4, two doubles, a triple, four RBI, and a run scored. Mike Borja was 3-for-3, scoring two runs.For Yona, Dunge Rios was 2-for-4, a double, an RBI, and a run scored. Paul Taisapic went 2-for-4, a triple, three RBI, and a run scored.
The action continues on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Paseo Stadium with a double header starting at 6:00 p.m.

The JFK Islanders won the first ever Memorial Weekend High School Basketball Tournament.
The All-Tournament selection were Zhion Macapinlac JFK, Darwin Ecijan JFK, Matthew Quinata Southern, and Malcom Fernandez Tiyan.
JFK’s Collin Rillamas was named tournament MVP.

The Prospects captured the Guam PONY Colt Spring Baseball League (14-16) championship Saturday with a masterful 2-0 win over the Smokies.
Pitchers Gavin Alcantara (5 innings) and Javier Taimanglo (2 innings) combined to throw a no-hitter.
Taimanglo and Juan Carlo Presnell drove in the two runs for the Prospects, and Skyler Paulino had two hits.
