It was homecoming night for the Father Duenas Football team, and they celebrated a huge 69-0 victory over the Tiyan Titans at the GW Field in Mangilao.
The Friars remain undefeated in the ISA Football League and move their incredible winning streak to 76 games. After sitting out last week due to a forfeit victory over Guam High, the Friars exploded for 10 touchdowns.
The Friars put up 41 points in the first half with Jaron Meno starting things off with a 75-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Meno had just two total rush attempts, all in the first quarter, for 82 total yards before head coach Bruce Meno gave the opportunity to other running backs to get playing time.
“Tonight was a special night for me and my Friar brothers. We wanted to thank all of our family and friends for their continued support,” said Jaron Meno.
Friar quarterback Kaynin McIntosh threw four touchdowns before sitting the rest of the game. All four McIntosh passes were for touchdowns, and he threw for a total of 136 yards.
Scoring plays:
*Jaron Meno 75-yards touchdown rush
*Kaynin McIntosh 15-yard touchdown pass to Daethan Alcantara

The offense was on the field for a good chunk of the game because their defense forced 11 turnovers. The defense had an unofficial high school record of seven interceptions and a total of four fumble recoveries.
Noah Duenas, Mason Whitaker, Chase Artero, Manglona, Jared Yamasaki Jr., Lincoln Newo, and Daniel Salas all had interceptions for the Friars. Duenas, Whitaker, Newo, and Jaron Meno recorded fumble recoveries on defense or special teams.
Kicker David Leon Guerrero was 9/10 for extra point attempts with one kick blocked. Lavin Santos went 1/1 on extra point kicking attempts.
Tiyan’s Nathan Ueda got the Tiyan fans cheering with a big play on defense with a forced fumble. Rikki Johnson had a game-high five tackles for the Titans on defense.
Jesse Cruz from Tiyan also made a big play with a blocked PAT attempt.
The Friars improve to 4-0 for the season and will be tested in their next two games against the Southern Dolphins (Oct 12) and the GW Geckos (Oct 18).
The Titans will look for their first win against the Okkodo Bulldogs next week (Oct 12) at Okkodo.
In the other Friday night matchup, the JFK Islanders shut out the Bulldogs 29-0.
