
PRESS RELEASE – (Bangkok, THAILAND) – Amphibious Aquatics proudly announces its outstanding performance at the 5th Asian Open Schools Invitational (AOSI) Long Course (50m) Swimming Championships held at Assumption University in Bangkok, where all 22 members of the travel team achieved new personal records. Competing against 1,195 athletes from 18 countries, including the U.S., Canada, Philippines, and Thailand, the team brought home an impressive collection of gold, silver, and bronze medals, along with numerous first-place finishes in their heats.
Outstanding performances at the recent swim meet were highlighted by 16-year-old Mia Lee’s remarkable achievement of medals in every event including five gold, two silver and earning the prestigious Gold high point trophy. Lee is a senior at St. John’s School. 17-year-old Keana Santos, a senior at John F. Kennedy High School, took on the 1500m and 800m freestyle earning gold in both events. Isla Rodriguez, 16-years-old earned the bronze in the highly competitive 50m freestyle event.
Additionally, twelve-year-old Naleeyah Thompson shone brightly, achieving personal bests across each of her events, particularly in the 200m freestyle where she made an impressive 37.17-second improvement, setting a new PR of 2:45.72. Twelve-year-old Tanom Camacho also showcased his talent by achieving multiple personal bests, including a remarkable 23.39-second drop in the 200m freestyle, culminating in a new PR of 2:41.39.
